Shoalstone Pool Structural Repair Project

The Shoalstone Seawater Pool in Brixham remains one of the only natural seawater pools in the UK. The Pool is a registered UK charity with the project funded by the UK Gov Community Ownership Fund (COF). Hereward Ltd delivered the structural repair scheme, a project of circa £1m in value. Hereward played a diverse role including design management, contract writing (NEC4), principal contractor tendering, site management, governance, budget control, local authority consultations and submission of the Marine maritime organisation (MMO) license. Once in contract, Hereward were the appointed NEC4 Contract Administrator.
